Skip Feher
Skip is a successful and seasoned sales, marketing, and business development executive with more than 30 years of experience in both the corporate aviation and air transport markets. Skip and Dave have worked together at Mooney Airplane Company and with International Communications Group (ICG).
Skip began his career as a professional pilot, flying corporate jets and serving as an FAA- Designated ATP and Jet Type Rating Examiner in Southern California. While still in his 20’s, and with over 5,000 hours logged in a variety of advanced turboprop and jet aircraft, he decided to move out of the cockpit and into the business world, joining Global Systems in 1980 as a product representative. Over the ensuing decade, he gained experience in multiple disciplines including domestic and international sales, sales management, product management, marketing and product development.
In the 1990’s Skip moved into higher levels of management within Global Wulfsberg Systems and subsequently accepted his first senior management role at Airshow, Inc., the world’s leading provider of passenger entertainment and moving map systems. As general manager of Airshow’s new data communications unit, Skip was instrumental in launching “Airshow Network”, the first air-to-ground data communications system into the cabin of corporate aircraft.
Subsequent to the successful launch of Airshow Network, Skip accepted the appointment to vice president of marketing and business development at Airshow. In that role, he was instrumental in developing key strategic alliances and participated in due diligence roles on several acquisition pursuits. During his tenure at Airshow, the company grew from $13M to more than $70M in annual sales.
Skip’s career highlights include leading the development, and successful launch, of AFIS (Airborne Flight Information System), the world’s first air-to-ground data link product for cockpit applications in corporate aviation. He was also the co-developer of the first air-to-ground data link product for cabin use in corporate aviation.
